Keep Your Christmas Gift List

I just read an article about keeping a list of the gifts you gave to friends and relatives as a reference for next year.  Hope I'm not too late to pass this along to you!

At first I thought why would I want to keep a list of what I gave to people this year, then it dawned on me!  DUH!  For those of us who make a lot of our gifts for a lot of people, it is very easy to forget what we made for those friends and relatives.  I ALMOST did that this year -- was just in the process of getting together materials for a craft gift for an aunt when I suddenly realized that I'd given her that same gift for her birthday just a few months back.

I have a sister in law that simply loves table runners and centerpieces.  I made a table runner for her for Christmas, so now her name, and the exact table runner that I made, goes on my list.  I'm working my way through all my gift list people, and I'm writing down exactly what I gave them, as well as colors, etc, and I think that next Christmas I'll be way ahead of the game.  Not only will I be remembering what I gave them, the list will also bring to mind some similar things that I know they will like that I could make, which will make Christmas gifts much easier next year.

I guess we all learn something every day - now I just have to put my list where I'll be able to find it next November when I start deciding what I'm gonna be doing for gifts!
