HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Once again the new year came in without my help!  I'm just soooo glad I don't have to "help" each new year come in, as I'd much rather be up and on my computer at 4 in the morning instead of trying to keep my eyes open at midnight!

I believe I'm really in a rut, as every January 1st I do the very same thing -- cook up some food (usually ahead of time) for our sons who like to come watch football with my husband, then I spend the day looking through online download patterns and start making a tentative list of what I'm gonna be needing for gifts for the first part of the year -- you know, graduations, weddings, baby showers, birthdays, etc.

I've added something else to my day for today, and that is re-reading some of the back posts at SewingBusiness.com.  If your sewing or craft business has been like most others we hear from - has done a definite downturn in this sluggish economy -- you'll want to follow me to the SewingBusiness Blog and see what new and different things can be done to pick up the sales for this New Year.  If you are having a slow time with sales, this is NOT the time to get frustrated and want to quit - it IS the time to look into other sewing avenues you can do, new craft items you can make to extend your inventory, new ways of getting word out about what you do -- don't just fritter away the extra time that you have.

We have a little note posted on the computers -- "Raise The Bottom Line in 2009" -- bet that would help to motivate you to get going and give that little bit of "extra" that it might take to actually raise that bottom line!

Think about ways that you can make a few changes to help raise that bottom line -- drop me a line or leave a comment here what you have come up with.  I'll bet our readers would love to hear what YOU are planning on doing -- as it will probably be a huge help to somebody else!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
