Jacob's Fort

As you probably know by now, Jacob, the big brother to the quads, spends every weekend with us.  He has been going to "tumble tots" gymnastics Saturday mornings, but their instructor left for a better paying job, so today he, and another new little friend, started Karate.  They both were very timid at first - and I totally understand that feeling -- first time in a class with a group of others that knew what they were doing, was very intimidating to them.  However, as the class went on and they were able to participate a little more, it became easier for them.  At the end of the class Jackson, the little friend, asked the instructor if he could come back again, and even Jacob said "see you next week".   We'll see what happens next Saturday, but we're hoping they'll be ok with going!!!  We were told that after a few weeks and they get to know the other kids and know what's expected of them, they will not want to miss!!!  Sounds good to me!!

Little Jacob LOVES to make forts and he loves trains, so I want to show you what he put together this morning - probably within 15 minutes of getting up.

He's used every block from the playroom to go around the outside edges of a big rug we have down -- and you can barely see the train that's close to where he is sitting.  The green "tunnel" is part of the train track.  He's holding out his arms to show the "huge" size of the fort, but can't seem to get his eyes off the cartoons that are on the TV.  The fort will probably stay in place until he goes home Sunday afternoon, at which time we'll put it all back in the right boxes and back into the playroom to wait for the next visit.
