Looking For A New Sewing Machine?
From time to time I get emails from individuals asking my opinion of what brand sewing machine do I think is best. They're looking around, but really don't know what to check for, and don't want to simply throw their money away on something that won't last.
Previously I'd say -- "I have a Bernina and I love it!" I don't know what other types and brands would do or how long they'd last, because I haven't had the need to try them out.
Well, today's post at SewingBusiness.com tells the whole story! The March issue of Consumer Reports has a great write up about the "best" and the "not so good" sewing machines. SewingBusiness.com does an outstanding job of passing along the information from Consumer Reports, and frankly I was surprised when I read about a few of the "better selling" machines.
Consumer Reports is a trusted authority on their ratings, and they do a very comprehensive testing before ever placing any opinions on the items they're researching.
If you or someone you know are thinking about buying, or trading your machine in for a newer model, read the informational post at SewingBusiness.com before you rush out and possibly make a purchase you might regret.
