Help In The Sewing Room

I have just run across the greatest little sewing room "tip" that I've seen lately, and I want to pass it along!

I'm sure I'm not the only person who has difficulty with the pattern instructions laying on the side of my sewing machine table -- and staying put while I'm trying to sew and look at them at the same time.  The pattern instruction sheet either slips off the side of the sewing table, or takes off flying if I have the ceiling fan running.

How about trying this --- "a linen tea towel hung on the wall next to your sewing machine can be used as a "bulletin board" where you can attach the instructions of the pattern you're working on, and can also be used as a place to keep some needles and safety pins so they'll be within easy reach".    I haven't put needles and pins on the towel yet, but I'm here to tell you it works wonders in keeping my pattern instructions where I can easily read them!

I've been trying out this little pointer for a couple weeks, just to make sure it'll work on whatever type of sewing instructions i'm using at the time, and it's wonderful.  Now I wonder how I've managed all these years without that little tea towel hanging beside the sewing machine.   The bigger question is ---- WHY didn't I think of it?????
